In our very own workshop in the basement of the 3ME faculty, TU Delft, students from TU Delft, TU Eindhoven and UTwente come together to work on the assembly of the TULip soccer robots. Click here to explore the robot's features and specifications.

In November 2007, students at the 3ME faculty of TU Delft started building the TUlip soccer robots, which will be playing in the Robocup Challenge in july 2008 in Suzhou, China. They were joined in December by colleagues of TU Eindhoven and UTwente. In the one and a half year preceding the build, the students have been working on the behaviour analysis, concept design and integral design of the soccer robots. Three robots are built, one for each participating university in the Dutch Robotics initiative to work with.

TULip's body consists of black anodized aluminium components. The use of alminium makes the robot very lightweight. These components were fabricated at the Centre for Mechanical Development, a support division of TU Delft.
